I hadn't followed the US election campaign in minute detail but the moment I heard Barack Obama address the crowd in Chicago after his victory, I became an instant devotee. His 20-minute acceptance speech was so eloquent, moving and inspirational that it gave me goose bumps and brought tears to my eyes - simultaneously! It remains to be seen whether his words can be turned into action, but in the mean time we can only be relieved that the dark days of the Bush administration are coming to an end...
