Getting fit

It's becoming a bit of a weekend tradition: go out on Saturdaynight and drink too many beverages (I blame it on the Japanese drinking culture!), sleep in late on Sunday and indulge in fatty -but so tasty!- McDonalds-brunch and finally, in an attempt to clear the head and be healthy, do some exercise in the crisp autumn air. Yesterday we biked to Fukuoka Botanical Gardens, a trip made quite complicated due to lack of signposts and a faulty map in Japanese... My trustworthy navigator Vaughan managed to get us there in the end though, thank god for his never ending guidance :-). The views over the city and the displays of colourful flowers were gorgeous; on every outing I am starting to appreciate our homebase more. All of this biking is also part of the "Let's get Inge Fit"-Plan, a recent development inspired by my sporty neighbour Evania and personal trainer Vaughan. On Saturday we bought a pair of stylish Nike trainers so there's no way back now...

Good to know you guys are getting to practice your navigation skills. Maybe you can take up orienteering as your future sport.
At least though in big cities you have some signage. Where I was living we had none (Japanese fear of invasion? Or maybe just a language test?).
It's good you can still bike. In my area at this time we had our first snow falls.
