Gatherings

The past five days have been filled with a wide variety of gatherings, some related to my birthday, others completely random. It started on Wednesday evening at Helmi & Athraa's house, where we celebrated Helmi's NZ driver's license with faux champagne, chocolate cake and lots of laughter. On Thursday my workmates threw an elaborate birthday 'morning tea', followed by Friday night drinks to toast to the end of the week (yes, we do occasionally get some work done!). Festivities continued with a group of friends until the wee hours of Saturday morning, and yesterday afternoon Vaughan & I had eight lovely people over for cake & coffee. It has certainly been fun & entertaining, not to mention I've eaten my own bodyweight in chocolate!

Fitting ten people into our tiny living room hadn't been attempted before, and despite it being somewhat cramped and noisy, things worked out fine :-). It cerainly was a multilingual mix, with snippets of Arabic, Dutch and English filling the air. Our RMS volunteer team & Tymen

More chocolate, anyone ;-)?
