Because of some unexpected hick-ups with my volunteer placement (don't ask!) I had a few extra day to spare in the Nakuru area. So when I got an invitation to join two other GVN volunteers on a weekend away to Lake Baringo, I jumped at the chance. I knew absolutely nothing about this place but it ended up surprising me in the best possible way. I couldn't have wished for a better introduction to the Great Kenyan Outdoors :-).
