Our new motto here is "Action speaks louder than words" so I'm thrilled to say that my first big project is well underway to being completed. Update coming soon...
*UPDATE: as of Friday 25 June the camp's Business Centre has officially been upgraded - woohoo! From now on it will no longer serve as a private meeting area for the committee or as a storage space for sacks of maize, but will actually be used what it was designed for. It's amazing the difference a fresh coat of paint and some new furniture makes. Asante sana to painters James (left) and David (right)! Next week a filing system will be implemented and we'll get a carpenter to build display cabinets for the camp's self-made arts and crafts. I couldn't have got this project underway without the community's backing so power to the people :-).
